Contempt hearing set for Jason Christ
A Missoula man will face a judge just over a month after he was sentenced for making a bomb threat.
We’ve been following Jason Christ’s case since 2011 when he threatened to blow up a Missoula Verizon Wireless store.
In June, Missoula County District Court Judge Karen Townsend handed down a six-year deferred sentence.
Now Christ will face Judge John Larson for a contempt of court hearing.
Missoula County Attorney Jen Clark said among the list of issues is proof that Christ was recording during a trial even though the judge asked him not to. Clark said Christ also tried to intimidate a witness.
The hearing's scheduled for next Tuesday morning. NBC Montana will keep you updated.
