A 65-year-old Columbus man has been convicted of sexually abusing a young girl who he forced to sign a "sex contract."

The Billings Gazette reports Dennis Francis Aguado was found guilty on Sept. 13 of felony sexual abuse of children. District Judge Randal Spaulding has not scheduled a sentencing date.

Aguado was charged last year after a 14-year-old girl said he gave her cigarettes, alcohol and cash and sexually assaulted her. She said he threatened to kill a family member if she reported the assault.

The girl said she was able to stop the assault by agreeing to a "sex contract," which included specifics of sexual activity and when it would take place. Both Aguado and the girl signed the contract, which was used as evidence at trial.
