A petition was recently created by students trying to stop curriculum changes at Montana State University's College of Arts and Architecture.
Tuesday, Dean Nancy C. Cornwell held an open forum addressing the issues brought up by the petition such as availability of classes and academic requirements.
Over 70 students and faculty came out for the meeting.
Attendees from both sides of the issue agreed it was a step in the right direction.
Cornwell is glad that, "They got to hear it from me, not filtered through others what I'm trying to do and what I'm not trying to do."
Film student Kristen Zwiers added, "I think that it's nice that she wants to involve us because we're the ones paying to go here. We're the ones trying to get the best education we possibly can."
