Cody woman bags title of Ms. Wheelchair USA
A 30-year-old Cody resident has been crowned Ms. Wheelchair USA.
Ashlee Lundvall says she plans to use the honor to bring greater attention to the numerous outdoor activities available to folks like herself.
Lundvall says she wants people to understand they can be active outdoors even with a disability.
Lundvall won the title out of a field of 10 finalists in July in Ohio.
She said she's never been the tiara type, but took on the challenge as one way to trumpet the volunteer Wyoming Disabled Hunters organization that she's involved with.
She tells The Billings Gazette that she believes her participation in hunting helped set her apart from the other contestants.
