Chase prompts school security increase


MISSOULA, Mont. - Some Missoula parents got a phone call from Missoula Public Schools today explaining how a chase near Blue Mountain, south of Missoula, resulted in tighter security at Big Sky High School, CS Porter and Hawthorne.

The recorded message was sent to parents' via cell phone.

It explained that during the chase, school staff positioned themselves at doors and children were not allowed out.

The suspect has since been apprehended.

Scanner traffic indicated that the suspect was wanted for an assault in Ravalli County.

Children, we are told, are now being allowed to leave per their usual transportation.
