BOZEMAN, Mont. -

First responders, veterans and folks from the Bozeman community gathered at the American Legion on Main Street to remember those who died on 9-11.

Folks with the American Legion tell us it was also a day to thank and honor local, first responders for what they do every day.

They tell us it was also important to recognize the four Americans who died in Benghazi on September 11th last year.

An honor guard was on hand for a three-round volley, also known as a 21 gun salute, and the playing of "Taps" to show respect and to honor those who gave the ultimate sacrifice.

"If we don't do a ceremony like this, people will forget. It's just human nature. And we don't want people to forget," explains American Legion Post 14 Commander Len Albright.
