MISSOULA, Mont. -

Bozeman police are noticing a surge in bicycle thefts from various locations around town.

Sergeant Olson said four bikes were reported stolen just yesterday.  They noticed the growing problem a few weeks ago.  Olson explained that sometimes bike locks are cut.  However, often times, bikes are taken that were not secured to begin with.

You must be able to identify your bicycle to police.  Write down the serial number on it or you can even register it with the Bozeman Police Department at their office downtown.
