After months of speculation, the city of Bozeman is moving forward with drafting a nondiscrimination ordinance.
Friday we spoke to Bozeman Mayor Jeff Krauss, who told us two city commission meetings will take place discussing the ordinance.
The first meeting takes place on April 28 and will be a policy discussion between city commissioners and city staff in addition to public comment on the issue. The second will be held May 12 and will iterate the ordinance. Public comment will be heard and a vote will be held during the meeting in May.
The first draft of the ordinance must be made available to the public no later than 48 hours before the first public meeting on April 28.
