Bozeman man sentenced to prison for trying to rob gas station clerk at gun point
A Bozeman man will spend seven years in prison for attempting to rob a Bozeman gas station last October.
24-year old Shane Jaeger entered the Loaf and Jug on 19th and Main, pointed a handgun at the clerk and demanded money.
But then a customer entered the store, and Jaeger fled in an SUV.
Police chased him a short distance, then arrested Jaeger after he stopped the vehicle and ran in to nearby trailer park.
In court Tuesday morning, a judge sentenced Jaeger to 15 years in prison on a Robbery charge, with eight years suspended.
He also faces 10 years for Weapons Enhancement, with 3 years suspended. He'll serve both sentences at the same time.
