NBC Montana checked in with Bozeman firefighters to see how they prepared to keep people safe on the Fourth of July.
The department wants to remind people to be safety-conscious throughout the night. They say not just fires but injuries increase over the holiday.
Bozeman Fire Battalion Chief Mark Criner tells us even though the risk of incident is higher than normal on the Fourth of July, his department is treating it like they do any other day.
"Our call volume, more than likely, will be higher tonight, because of some of the fireworks and fireworks complaints, but I feel we're ready for any hazard or anything that will happen tonight, that could happen tomorrow night or two weeks from now," said Criner.
