Bozeman City Commissioners review 2014 fiscal year budget recommendations
Bozeman City Commissioners moved to continue reviewing the budget proposals.
The preliminary budget shows an annual tax increase of almost $89 for the typical Bozeman resident.
Expenditures for the general fund preliminarily total around $26.9 million, the majority of that going to the police and fire departments.
Commissioners went back and forth over new full-time positions in Parks and Recreation, city management, and the Bozeman Fire Department.
Bozeman residents could see a $7.39 monthly tax increase in services such as water, sewer and street assessments.
The commission hopes to finalize the budget by July 1.
