Federal wildlife officials trapped and euthanized a black bear that raided a chicken pen south of Billings.
Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks spokesman Bob Gibson says officials with the Federal Wildlife Services were called after the female bear climbed over a fence and into a chicken pen, killing several of the birds.
The bear, which weighed 150 to 200 pounds, was trapped Saturday morning and euthanized.
Gibson says the bear is not the same one spotted in near Blue Creek Elementary in May.
