Billings man pleads guilty in man's stomping death
A Billings man has pleaded guilty to stomping a man to death under a plea agreement that recommends a 55-year prison sentence.
Eldon Otter Little Elk pleaded guilty to deliberate homicide Thursday in the death of 23-year-old Andrew Stoll. A sentencing date has not been set.
Little Elk was initially charged with aggravated assault for the Nov. 24 attack on Stoll outside a Billings residence. A witness said Little Elk knocked Stoll to the ground and stomped on his head. The witness said Little Elk went back inside, then went outside and punched Stoll and stomped on his head again.
The charge was amended after Stoll died at a Billings hospital on Dec. 17.
Prosecutors say Little Elk told a police officer that Stoll "should not have been messing with an Indian girl."
