WHITEFISH, Mont. -

Running, biking, canoeing, and kayaking were all a part of the 11th annual Glacier Challenge at Riverside Park in Whitefish.

"I'd have to say I think it's been the best year ever,” said Hannah Plumb, the development coordinator for the flathead youth home.  They provide a safe place for kids in crisis.

Proceeds from the race keep the home open.

"It's huge and the fact that it's such a community supported event feel really important to our work in the community."

More than 360 people participated, either in teams or alone.

Plumb says she hopes the continued growth of the race will help bring the shelter and community even closer.

"Everyone here today is part of that support."
