I was raised in Ohio and attended Miami University and Ohio State University where I received a degree in Water Resources Management. I have lived out west since 1974 and in the Salmon, Idaho area since 1977. I recently retired from the US Forest Service after a 30 year career in Hydrology with the agency. I have also been the owner/operator of a greenhouse/nursery business.
With my background in hydrology and horticulture I have a keen interest in weather events. Though we live in Idaho we have always looked to Missoula for news, weather, shopping and medical services, so I am excited about participating in your Weather Watcher program.
My husband and I live on a small farm about 5 miles north of Salmon, Idaho in the Carmen area with our two dogs and horses. We have two great daughters, one lives in Salmon, Idaho and one lives in the Missoula area with her husband and daughter. I love to garden, hike and play on the river (rafting and kayaking). In the winter I enjoy cross country skiing and have recently taken up snowshoeing and woodworking.
