A 42-year-old Missoula woman remains jailed on $50,000 bail on a negligent homicide charge filed after her husband died of a heroin overdose.
Terry L. Baillargeon had been charged with criminal endangerment and tampering with evidence after Lawrence Baillargeon was found unresponsive at the couple's house on Jan. 2. The charge was amended Monday. Terry Baillargeon appeared in Justice Court Tuesday.
Court records say Baillargeon told investigators her husband collapsed after she injected him at his request. She said she started CPR while someone else went for help. Court records say she acknowledged stopping CPR to wash the needle.
Lawrence Baillargeon was declared brain dead and removed from life support on Jan. 4. Court records say the overdose stopped his heart, causing his brain to go without oxygen for too long.
