MINERAL COUNTY -

Mineral County Sheriff and Coroner released the name of the victim of a boating accident in the Clark Fork River on Sunday afternoon. Neil Albright, of Kalispell, and another passenger were rafting through the Alberton Gorge area, in the Tumbleweed stretch of rapids, when their raft tipped and Albright was thrown from the raft. He was not wearing a life jacket.

Frenchtown Fire and Ambulance were called out to the area around 3:30 in the afternoon. Upon their arrival Albright was unresponsive. No cause of death is determined at this time.

Montana Fish, Wildlife, and Parks is investigating the incident.
