MISSOULA, Mont. -

It's one of the busiest travel days of the year both on the roads and in the air.

We checked in with folks flying today who tell us they are thrilled to head off and see family for Thanksgiving.

Incoming and outgoing flights at the Missoula International Airport were all on time Wednesday and it appears folks cleared baggage claim and got their rental cars without much trouble.

We talked to one Grizzly football player who's headed off to Seattle to visit his mother.  He says it's been over a month since he's seen her and he says he can't wait to taste her home cooked collard greens.

“For Thanksgiving I'm traveling with my grandparents who were just in town for our last home game,” said Gerald Kemp.   “I'm definitely excited to get some home cooking and a good Thanksgiving meal because it's been a while.”

If you're traveling over the holiday weekend we have up-to-date information on road conditions around the state and images from Montana's mountain passes here on our website.
