Transient charged with Helena stabbing

A 20-year-old transient is charged with attempted deliberate homicide after a stabbing in downtown Helena.
The Independent Record reports (http://bit.ly/SDuM0a ) Michael Anthony Bradford was arrested at about 8 p.m. Sunday in the parking lot in front of the God's Love homeless shelter. His bail was set at $20,000.
The victim told police he thought Bradford had struck him in the back and he ran away as Bradford chased him with a knife. Court records say the victim was stabbed in his upper back, near his shoulder.
The victim's condition was not considered life-threatening.
