Sylvan Pass closed due to avalanche danger

MISSOULA, Mont. -

Information for those traveling through Yellowstone.  Sylvan Pass is temporarily closed to all over snow travel due to avalanche danger.

This means no snowmobiles, skis, snowshoes or snow coaches. 

Officials say they can't estimate how long the closure will last, and that it is completely dependent upon weather conditions.
