A Butte man was arrested after officers say he threatened a woman with a sword that he later swung at a policeman.
Reports say that Christopher Thomas likely faces felony charges of assault on a peace officer and assault with a weapon.
That's after a woman says the 32-year-old Thomas stood over her in a home and threatened to kill her with the sword.
When police arrived, they say he swung the sword at one officer's head.
The officer wasn't hurt, and Thomas was taken into custody.
A booking photo shows he suffered at least a minor injury to his forehead.
Thomas also was charged with misdemeanor counts of partner or family member assault and endangering the welfare of children.
He's in jail on a $50,000 bond.
