A suspect in the kidnapping and killing of a 29-year-old Illinois man whose body was found in a culvert outside Billings has been extradited from Colorado to Montana.
28-year-old Simon Jacobson was moved Friday and is being held at the Yellowstone County Detention Facility.
Authorities allege Jacobson and a second man, 32-year-old James Walker, kidnapped Dejuan Laster, of Rockford, Ill., and his girlfriend from their Billings motel room earlier this month as part of an alleged robbery plot.
It's unclear when Jacobson will make his initial court appearance.
Walker was charged Jan. 24 with aggravated kidnapping by accountability, kidnapping and two counts of robbery.
Laster's girlfriend, who was released prior to his killing, helped authorities track down the suspects by providing a cellphone number.
