SPOKANE, Wash. -

A dog that was shot three times by intruders in a Spokane home invasion robbery is expected to make a full recovery.

The pit bull named Guardian was patched up by a veterinarian.

The dog's owner, Travis Scott, says Guardian chased after two masked men Tuesday night after he drove them off with a shotgun, firing in their direction. Scott says he heard their shooting and then his dog whining.

Scott says he has no idea who broke in while he was home with his girlfriend and her baby. The robbers fled in an older white van.
