The Southgate Mall's doing what it can to help out the YWCA… to a tune of $35,000.
The mall recently gave the non-profit a $30,000 check to support the organization's Secret Seconds Thrift Store expansion campaign, and an additional $5,000 donation to fund a program the YWCA runs to support Missoula’s homeless community.
YWCA Communications Director Elizabeth Harrison said the timing couldn't be better - with the cold weather and growing need.
"People come through our doors everyday who have been in situations where they are fleeing abuse, or where they don't know where their next meal's going to come from or where they're going to sleep," said Harrison.
