Snowfall wreaks havoc on Flathead roads
Friday night’s and Saturday’s abundant snowfall impacted road conditions in and around the Flathead. NBC Montana checked the Montana Highway Patrol’s incident logs, and found that troopers responded to more than 80 car wrecks in the Kalispell district between Friday and Saturday.
NBC Montana also checked with the Kalispell Fire Department, and asked them what they recommend for safe winter driving.
“People just need to slow down and check road conditions and things like that before they go out on the road,” said Captain Craig Fischer.
Authorities are also reminding folks that even drivers with four-wheel drive need to slow down when the roads get slick.
