A Stevensville woman is recovering from broken ribs suffered in a weekend car crash after the vehicle she and her sister were riding in went off a slushy highway near Sula and crashed upside down in the icy waters East Fork of the Bitterroot River.
Catherine Campbell say she was driving her sister, Frances Alexander, to a medical appointment in Salt Lake City on Saturday when they suddenly went off the road.
Campbell says she's grateful for the people in the car behind them who stopped, ran down the hillside and, along with an off-duty paramedic, helped get them out of their damaged car.
Alexander remained hospitalized Tuesday with broken ribs.
