Shelter dog on fast track to law enforcement career
NBC Montana discovered a heartwarming story out of Lincoln County: A puppy just a day away from death is now on the fast track to a career in law enforcement. The Tobacco Valley Animal Shelter took in a 10-month old black lab named Jett.
Jett is a high energy dog, with behavioral problems because he had been tied up outside with very little human interaction.
Shelter staff posted a video of the dog on the web, and not long after, a nonprofit that trains police and bomb dogs contacted the shelter, saying the dog had just the drive they look for.
Volunteers from agencies including “Dog is my Co-Pilot” and “Pilots n Paws” got him all the way to Nevada, where he’ll soon start his training.
