MISSOULA, Mont. -

A powerful storm shot through Lake County at about noon.

The National Weather Service issued flash flood warnings for Lake County until 2:33 this afternoon.

Meteorologists report that winds reached 44 to 50 miles an hour in places, and that 20 trees were knocked over.

A viewer tells NBC Montana the storm caused flash flooding in the Mission Valley, knocked several large trees down, with some on roadways including Highway 93 and another on a house. 

The National Weather service says the cell dissipated and spread out northward with far less strength.
