Gov. Brian Schweitzer is campaigning for President Barack Obama in two pivotal states this week.
Schweitzer was in Wisconsin on Monday and scheduled to be in Iowa Tuesday for early vote events for the Obama for America campaign.
The events come as the Montana Democrat continues to raise his national profile.
Schweitzer has been critical of some aspects of the Obama administration, such as a federal health care law that he has described as a boon to the insurance industry. But Schweitzer has been far more critical of Republican Mitt Romney.
In Montana, Schweitzer has also been engaged helping state Democrats. But the popular governor has so far not been a public figure supporting U.S. Sen. Jon Tester, who is fighting a tough challenge from Republican U.S. Rep. Denny Rehberg.
