The Montana Highway Patrol says a 17-year-old Sand Coulee girl was killed in a single vehicle rollover southeast of Great Falls.
The patrol says the girl was westbound on Secondary Highway 227 near Stockett shortly after 5 p.m. Thursday when the Ford Explorer she was driving "lifted off the road." The driver went back on the roadway, crossed the centerline and overcorrected into a broad-side skid. The SUV flipped and rolled several times.
The patrol says the girl was wearing her seat belt improperly and was ejected from the vehicle. She died at the scene. Her name has not been released.
