A 27-year-old southern Idaho man will spend nearly seven years in prison for dealing methamphetamine.
Francisco A. Juarez of Rupert was sentenced on Thursday in federal court in Pocatello to 66 months in prison after pleading guilty to possession with intent to distribute.
According to his plea agreement, Juarez arranged to deliver the illegal stimulant to another person in April 2011.
Four months later, in August, Juarez followed through with the actual delivery at a restaurant in Heyburn.
Once he's released from prison, Juarez will be monitored for four years of supervised release, to make sure he stays out of trouble.
The case was investigated by the Idaho State Police.
