A phone book company has settled a lawsuit over its listing a Montana restaurant in the "Animal Carcass Removal" section of the yellow pages.
The terms of the Nov. 16 deal between Dex Media Inc. and Bar 3 Bar-B-Q's parent company were not disclosed in court filings.
The owner of the restaurant with locations in Bozeman and Belgrade sued after the listing first appeared in the 2009 yellow pages and was reprinted in 2010 and last year in other print and online telephone directories.
The listing was featured as a joke in Jay Leno's "Headlines" segment of the Tonight Show in January 2011.
Dex has said it was an erroneous listing. Restaurant owner Hunter Lacey claimed a Dex salesman deliberately published the listing after Lacey refused to buy an advertisement.
