Gateway Gardens’ Hellgate Park is receiving a makeover, and its neighbors are doing the makeup and hair.
A park planning workshop will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 28, at 1121 E. Broadway in the Montech Building from 5:30 pm to 9:30pm.
Food will be offered, and residents are expected to stay for the entire meeting.
Missoula Parks and Recreation will be holding multiple work stations, from brainstorming ideas to drawing on sky view maps of the park to utilize a more creative idea-sharing process.
“The neighborhood council will be taking a lead role,” Parks and Recreation Director Donna Gaulker says, “ They’ve already done a public opinion poll about how do you like to use the park and of course a lot of dog walking, river access, nature viewing. But we’ll start the whole process by asking people about values, what do they value about the space.”
