The rape trial of former University of Montana quarterback Jordan Johnson is expected to resume Wednesday after a four-day break with the prosecution continuing to present its case.
Johnson is charged with sexual intercourse without consent for allegedly raping a woman as the two watched a movie at her residence on Feb. 4, 2012. Johnson has said the sex was consensual.
The trial began with opening arguments last Monday afternoon. The woman testified, followed by some of her friends and the nurse who examined her.
This Monday was a federal holiday and Tuesday was District Judge Karen Townsend's law and motion day.
The defense is expected to start presenting its case by the end of the week.
