A judge has ordered a psychological evaluation for a 14-year-old Harrison boy who is charged with bringing two guns to school last month.
The youth is being held at a residential mental-health treatment center in Butte, where he is expected to remain until the results of the psychological evaluation are known.
The youth faces juvenile charges of criminal endangerment. A plea of "not true" was entered on his behalf in Youth Court.
Madison County sheriff's deputies arrested the boy after the two guns, including a loaded .357 Magnum revolver, were found in his backpack on school property on Jan. 25.
Court records say the boy told authorities he wanted to show people "you don't need an assault rifle to shoot up a school."
