I-15 closed South of Shelby because of possible IED

NBC Montana learned the Toole County Sheriff’s office got a call this morning at 10:55 a.m. because of a possible “homemade improvised explosive device” located near the interstate.

Wind damage in Hamilton — James Floyd Weisbeck

MISSOULA, Mont. -

Windy weather rocked Missoula Monday evening. Just before 6 p.m. high winds ripped through trees sending folks running inside.

The storm did some damage too. We received photos of a downed tree in Hamilton. Reports of minor damage flooded in from around the area.

Northwestern Energy reports scattered outages around Missoula County.

Power surges knocked out our 6 p.m. newscast in Missoula and Kalispell, so we were able to bring you a portion of our newscast from our KTVM studio in Bozeman.
