Plow the Beartooth. That's one idea being floated to aid tourism in Cody during a delay in opening Yellowstone National Park to automobiles this spring.
    
The annual job of clearing snow from park roads was supposed to begin Monday. Because of federal budget cuts, spring plowing is delayed two weeks. The National Park Service will save $30,000 a day but at a cost to tourism.
    
Scott Balyo with the Cody Country Chamber of Commerce says plowing the Beartooth Highway would offer another way for tourists to get into Yellowstone. Park crews plow the Beartooth even though the road is located outside Yellowstone.
    
Balyo suggests Montana and Wyoming could team up to get the job done a lot sooner than the current plans for opening the road in mid-June.
