KALISPELL, Mont. -

Sunday marked the final day of festivities at the Northwest Montana Fair, and Fair Manager Mark Campbell says this year was a successful one. Campbell says attendance at the fair appears to be up over last year, though it’s too early to know the exact numbers.

Campbell also says Saturday night’s Rodney Adkins concert was one of the largest country concerts ever for the fair, and Saturday’s rodeo was up in attendance.

Campbell says it’s always a sad time when the fair comes to an end.

“You’re always sad,” said Campbell. “It’s a lot of work. You get into a lot of busy days, a lot of time like that, but then when you get to this final point of it, you hate to see it go too.”

Clean-up crews will start their work on Monday, and it may take a couple weeks to get the fairgrounds totally cleared out.
