MISSOULA, Mont. -

Last night’s lightning show sparked several wildfires around Missoula.

The Department of Natural Resources and Conservation is working with the Florence Rural Fire Department to put out a quarter-acre fire near the proposed Bitterroot Resort area. The fire is currently under control.

Four DNRC engines are responding to the Linton Fire that’s burning east of Missoula.

Multiple fires are burning in the Lolo Creek Drainage, near the Woodman Creek and Woodman Saddle area. DNRC is working with Lolo National Forest rangers to control those fires.
