A New York man is facing vehicular homicide charges after an ATV crash that killed a passenger at the exclusive Yellowstone Club in Big Sky.
Court documents state 19-year old James Sinclair Welch admitted he had been driving the ATV when his passenger fell out on Thursday night..
Authorities say they responded to the crash around 11:50 pm at Andesite Road in Yellowstone Club.
According to a press release from the Gallatin County Sheriff's office, CPR and first aid was administered to the passenger at the scene, but 19 year old Parker Regan of Mendham, NJ died from injuries sustained in the crash.
Deputies say they could smell alcohol on Welch, but had to get a warrant to get a blood sample. Those results were not released.
A judge set Welch's bond at $50,000 during his initial court appearance on Friday.
Officials say Yellowstone Club Department of Public Safety, Gallatin County Sheriff’s Office and Montana Highway Patrol responded to the scene.
Montana Highway Patrol is currently investigating the incident.
