A northern Idaho man who police say stabbed to death his 27-year-old pregnant wife at their Priest River home has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder.
The Bonner County Daily Bee reports (http://bit.ly/12ppRTk) that 27-year-old Jeremy Keith Swanson was charged Wednesday in magistrate court and is being held in the Bonner County Jail without bail.
Court records say Swanson told authorities he knew Jennifer Swanson was 15 weeks pregnant when he stabbed her to death Tuesday. Police say that after the stabbing he called authorities at 8:45 p.m.
Bonner County Prosecutor Louis Marshall says a motive is unclear.
Police say the couple's 20-month-old daughter was also in the home at the time of the killings but she was not harmed. She is being cared for by relatives.
