An adult bull moose was found wandering around near Glacier High school in Kalispell on Monday. Witnesses say the moose made its way though the school’s soccer field, before a stroll through a nearby wheat field.

Wildlife workers say moose typically wander into the Valley during wintertime, but they sometimes show up in the summer. They got the report about the animal walking around Kalispell at about noon on Monday.

A small crowed gathered to snap photos and watch the animal. One FWP warden estimates the moose to be roughly four years old.

“We came back and took a look at it,” said Conner Byle.

“It’s very astonishing,” said Kostya Hoffman.
