MISSOULA, Mont. -

Montanan’s have the chance to win a $300,000 house being raffled off by the Building Futures Program.

The house which is located in south Missoula is a 3 bedroom, 2 bath single-level home.  It’s a modern style house with an open floor plan, granite counter tops, a gas fireplace and more.

Students involved in the house-building program get hands on training in carpentry, electric, plumbing and they work with professionals in the community to design and build the house.

It's the second house the group is raffling off and organizers say they’re excited because the project is a win-win for the students involved and whoever the lucky raffle winner is.

Michelle Felde, chair of the Student Built House says the program is a great training tool for students.

“Whether you decide to go into the carpentry business or a similar occupation you are still getting training that you can use through your entire life,” said Felde.  “Whether it’s changing a wall out or changing a light bulb you'll get that experience here.”

Raffle tickets are $100; if you would like more information about the house or to find out where you can purchase your raffle ticket click here.
