A Missoula man who was given a three-year deferred sentence on a drug charge in November has denied charges that he robbed two casinos and a convenience store last month.
22-year-old Corey Benjamin Schreckendgust pleaded not guilty Thursday to three counts of felony robbery.
Court records say Schreckendgust told investigators he robbed three businesses over a period of less than seven hours on Dec. 11 to get money to buy drugs. He was arrested the next day.
Detectives recovered $200 that Schreckendgust said was from the robberies, as well as the chrome-plated pistol he said he used.
He faces a hearing next month on allegations that he violated his probation in the drug case.
Schreckendgust remains in the Missoula County jail with bail set at $100,000.
