Missoula family restaurant gets head start feeding St. Patty's day celebrants
MISSOULA, Mont. -

St. Patrick's Day feasts are getting a head start in Missoula. Business is brisk at Lisa's Pasty Pantry.

The family-run restaurant always serves traditional corned beef and cabbage dinners.

Pasties, the Cornish dish so favored in Montana March 17th, is always a popular menu item.

Since the 17th, falls on a Sunday, the Pantry won't be open that day. But Friday and Saturday are 18 and 20-hour days.

Molly McGill got to work at 3:30 a.m. Friday.

"My brother and mom had been here at different points throughout the night," said Molly. "My mom got here at midnight and put on the corned beef and cabbage."

It will be a long couple days. But it's worth it, she said, to share her mom's Irish recipes with Missoula.

These are Lisa's Pasty Pantry's busiest days of the year.

The restaurant is located near Southgate Mall.
