Missoula County commissioners have approved subdividing the old Bonner plywood mill building into as many as 13 units.
Developers want to attract industrial companies to the huge, historic building.
One business is already there, another will soon be moving in.
The mill was shuttered several years ago and has largely stood empty.
Developers said the building lends itself to manufacturing.
"The building was kind of built in sections," said Mike Boehme, "it lends itself to parceling off portions of it."
Commissioners said approval comes with conditions to meet public safety issues.
