MISSOULA, Mont. -

The missing Army veteran who disappeared in Missoula two weeks ago was found dead Saturday morning with a self inflicted gunshot wound, according to the Missoula County Sheriff's Department.

Search crews with cadaver dogs from Flathead County located 26-year-old Matthew Charlick in the Miller Creek area, where his abandoned vehicle was found last week with the keys left inside the car.

Charlick went missing June 15. He was last seen at a residence on Central Avenue, and he reportedly left without bringing his cell phone or giving any indication of where he was going.

Charlick was discharged from the Army earlier this year.
