Hundreds of family members and friends of missing Glacier hiker Jakson Kreiser packed a memorial service in Michigan on Friday. Kreiser has been missing since he went for a day hike on July 27.
Kreiser was a seasonal worker at the Lake McDonald Lodge in Glacier National Park. Park officials scaled back search efforts after crews didn’t find any new clues. Park crews suspect he meant to hike from Logan Pass to Avalanche Lake.
At Kreiser’s memorial service, people talked about his love of the outdoors, and a friend said he “lived the way he wanted to live.” Earlier this month, his parents released a statement saying they believe he “found the world’s greatest resting place.”
