KALISPELL, Mont. -

A Kalispell man says he was about to put his kid to sleep when he heard a loud crash outside his house. It turns out, Kalispell Police officers say that noise was an alleged drunk driving crash, and they say a foot pursuit happened shortly after. 

Officers say a man in his thirties was driving south on Third Avenue East at around 9:30 pm Wednesday night, and that he hit a parked vehicle. Officers say the man took off running when they arrived, and he was still running when officers apprehended him around the corner from the crash scene.

Officers say the man may face charges of DUI and obstruction of a peace officer. Authorities have not released the man’s name at this time.
