Man found dead in car stopped on Boise street
Police say a man was found dead in car stopped on a Boise street and investigators believe he was the victim of foul play.
Boise police said in a statement early Tuesday that a passer-by called authorities the night before reporting a man appeared to be injured inside a vehicle, which was stopped in a westbound lane of Franklin Road. Officers found evidence of a shot fired in the vehicle, but the statement did not elaborate.
Police spokeswoman Lynn Hightower told the Idaho Statesman she did not know whether a gunman is on the loose, though the police statement says there is no evidence of ongoing danger to citizens.
The newspaper reported the investigation closed down a portion of Franklin Road for several hours.
